For 2025 the team at Dunkeswell has been making some huge infrastructure changes to bring our fasclities up to the best standards we can to compete with some of the biggest race tracks not only in UK but Europe!
It’s been another exciting week of progress here at Dunkeswell Raceway as we continue to invest in improvements across the venue, and we’re thrilled to share what’s been happening behind the scenes.
The brand-new covered viewing area is really starting to take shape. With the main structure now in place, the roof is scheduled to be installed very soon. This will provide spectators with a comfortable, sheltered space to watch the action, whatever the weather. Alongside this, work is well underway on a fully accessible wheelchair viewing area, designed to ensure that everyone can enjoy a top-notch view of the track and atmosphere. Accessibility and inclusivity remain a top priority in everything we do.

Over by the paddock, the new timing building is now nearing completion—and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s looking. Not only does it offer upgraded facilities for staff and race control, but it also boasts a brilliant elevated view over the circuit and the dynamic Combat Labs area. It’s a game-changer in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.
In preparation for the upcoming British Championships, the team has been working hard to ensure every part of the raceway is in top condition. This includes fresh paint on the curbs, meticulous checks on all fencing, and a general tidy-up across the site to make sure we’re looking sharp and ready to welcome racers and spectators alike.

Additionally to the exterior of the building we’ve also been making some changes to our restaurant, fully revised bar area with new items for both day and evening events. Our goal is to not only be known as a place for a quick bite to eat but have one of the best motorsport restaurant facilities for drivers, teams and general public to chill in between racing. We have added 4 new 80″ interactive screens which will be used for raceweekends showing live results and soon cameras from the track.

We also felt it was necessary to add screens in the toilets, perfect for when teams need to frantically rush to use the toilets but need to keep an eye on those times!
Funny story, I was washing my hands and overheard one of the drivers say:
“This is the best toilets i’ve ever been in, I can sit on the toilet and watch the race times while i do my business, this is amazing!!”

And as if that wasn’t enough, something very exciting is on the horizon. A brand-new feature will soon be added to the circuit, and trust us, it’s going to be a standout addition. While we’re keeping the details under wraps for now, we can confidently say it’s set to elevate the racing experience here at Dunkeswell to the next level. We can’t wait to share more with you very soon!
Stay tuned for more updates, we’re just getting started.
